Social Events
On this page you can find an overview of the social events of ASE 2010.
The social event program features a beer-tasting reception on wednesday evening and a banquet on thursday evening. The locations for these events are all within walking distance of the conference venue (see ASE 2010 map, and the dedicated social events map). Of course, you can also make use of the public transportation.
Beer-Tasting Reception
The conference reception will take place in the city hall of Antwerp, a magnificent 16th century building with the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a few of the Belgian specialities. Indeed, we will use this opportunity, to allow participants to taste a few well-known but hard to find Belgian beers. The reception will finish at 21:00 to allow everyone to have dinner in one of the nearby restaurants.

Conference Banquet
The conference banquet on the other hand will held in the Marble Hall of the Antwerp Zoo, a completely renovated historic site and well-known for serving excellent food. The dinner will start at 19:00 but being a bit earlier should allow you to get a sneak preview of the Zoo. The banquet will be the occasion to celebrate the conference’s 25th anniversary (hint: don’t miss the welcome drink).
