The 19th IEEE International Conference on Automated Software Engineering brings together researchers and practitioners to share ideas on the foundations, techniques, tools, and applications of automated software engineering technology. Both automatic systems and systems that support and cooperate with people are within the scope of the conference, as are models of software and software engineering activities.
We invite half-day/full day tutorials addressing theoretical foundations, practical techniques, software tools, and applications in areas related to the ASE topics.
A Tutorial program that gives attendees the opportunity to gain new insights, knowledge and skills on evolving and emerging research topics in the area of automated software engineering will be an essential part of the ASE 2004.
The Tutorials are scheduled for September 20-21, 2004 at the beginning of the ASE 2004 conference. Survey papers and/or tutorial notes will be made available to the tutorial attendees at the conference.
Tutorials are intended to provide independent instruction on a relevant theme, therefore no commercial or sales-oriented presentations will be accepted.
Instructors are invited to submit proposals for half-day and full-day tutorials and, upon selection, are required to provide tutorial notes or a survey paper on the topic of presentation before April 9, 2004 in pdf.
Proposals in PDF should be sent to both Tutorials Chairs.
Please include the following information in the proposal that should not exceed 5 pages:
- name and affiliation of proposer/organizer (including address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address)
- name and affiliation of additional presenters
- instructor's experience in the area, such as other tutorials, courses etc.
- title
- objective
- abstract
- outline
- duration
- audio-visual and technical requirements
- target audience
- assumed background of attendees
- brief biography of each instructor (for inclusion in publicity material)
- indication whether a survey paper will be provided (max. 30 pages)
Review Process
Evaluation of proposals will be based on the relevance of the subject matter and on the expertise and experience of the instructors.
