The ONLY lodging we have been able to find within walking distance of the Hyatt is "The Inn at Incline". It is 2 blocks away - up the hill away from the lake - a 10 minute walk. They have worked "hand in hand with the Hyatt frequently" in overflow and other situations. They will provide a 10% discount to people from our conference JUST FOR THE WEEKDAYS. Conference participants should identify themselves as "IEEE Automated Software Engineering Conference" or "IEEE Computer Society" or just "IEEE". Their usual weekday rates for 1 or 2 people are $69, $79, or $89 depending on the size of the rooms (so the conference rate is 10% off this). Their usual WEEKEND rate is $79, $89, $99 - and they were not able to offer a discount for the weekend. For reservations, call 800 824-6391.
For those attendees with access to an automobile, we have negotiated a special rate at the Crystal Bay Hotel. This is 4 miles (6 minutes) from Hyatt Lake Tahoe. There is ample free parking at Hyatt Lake Tahoe. The number for Crystal Bay Hotel is 702 831-0287. They guaranteed a $45 room rate for ALL rooms - including King size rooms. Ask for the IEEE Automated Software Engineering conference room rates.

The highest density of lodging in the Lake Tahoe area is South Lake Tahoe, which is about 35 minutes from the Hyatt by automobile; and Reno, which is about 40 minutes from the Hyatt by automobile. The hotel/casinos often provide very low room rates during the November low season.
