Note to Authors:

You will be notified whether your paper is accepted (or rejected) for the conference on August 12, 1997. Authors whose paper is accepted will be required to submit their final revised paper to IEEE Computer Society no later than September 15, 1997. Author kits with detailed instructions for submitting camera-ready papers will be sent out for accepted papers shortly after August 12.

As in past years, we expect to allocate 8 pages in the proceedings to each accepted paper, possibly with 1-2 extra optional pages requiring a fee to be paid. Because of the large number of papers we received, the allocated number of pages might be changed slightly from past years.
