ASE20002000

ASE2000 Doctoral Symposium

What is The Doctoral Symposium?

The Doctoral Symposium is intended to bring together PhD students working on foundations, techniques, tools and applications of automated software engineering -- it has the same scope as the main ASE conference --, and give them the opportunity to present and to discuss their research in a constructive and international atmosphere. The goals of the symposium are:

The symposium is open to students only. It is more specifically intended for students in their early PhD year(s), that only have preliminary results so far and that wish to have an "external" expert feedback on their work. Students that already have strong results are encouraged to submit papers to the ASE Conference rather than to the Doctoral Symposium.

Why a Doctoral Symposium?

Today's students are the researchers and engineers of tomorrow. The Doctoral Symposium is a way to integrate students early in the Automated Software Engineering community.

Financial Support

This year, travel and accomodation scholarships are available for all students presenting at the Doctoral Symposium. They will receive free registration (and are expected to work at the registration tables during the conference in return). In addition to the conference sponsors, specific sponsors for the symposium are:
